Luke Ryan's Birthday Party...the BIG 3!

Rowen had so much fun at Luke Ryan's birthday party in Norman. We rode with my friend Leslie and Rowen's friend Kohen. The kids played and played! Rowen especially liked the ball pits and the slides!

A Night Out At Edna's

Ransom and I went to Edna's to celebrate our friends, Tim and Kristie's birthdays. (They are only a day apart.) Edna's is a whole in the wall bar but we had a blast...until a fight broke out and we hit the door fast! Another memorable time with great friends! You should check it out sometime...try the lunchboxes!! They sound horrible but taste oooooooh so good! YUM

Batman! To the Bat Mobile Robin...

Rowen decided he wanted to be a superhero for Halloween. I had a costume magazine and he chose Batman...I think he makes an adorable Batman!! He loves his costume...he wears it all the time. It may be worn out by the time Halloween comes around.

Halloween 2009

Rowen insists on being a superhero for Halloween. I showed him a costume magazine and he especially likes batman and spiderman. I am having a hard time finding a spiderman costume in 2T which is his favorite but will keep looking. He is so excited to dress up and get CANDY! I think we are going to go to Kansas for Halloween this year. It all depends onweather I buy a vehicle before then so we'll see. I will keep you updated on the costume search!

Looking Back...

It seems like yesterday...
Rowen was such a tiny little thing.
I can't believe he is going to be 3 in 5 short months.
He's just as precious and perfect as he was when he was born. Why can't they stay young forever?

Rowen News

Rowen in growing up so fast! He is, for the most part, a very good little boy, very well manored and sweet as can be but he can be quite bossy and demanding at times as well. I thought I'd share with you a few of his new sentences that he has been using quite frequently:

*If we ask him to do something like help us pick up his toys and he doesn't want to do it we usually take him by the hand and move him in the direction of the toys, or whatever it may be...he says "NO, LET GO OF ME!"

*If he wants candy or fruit snacks before dinner and we tell him that he can't have any until after dinner...he says "NO, I HAVE SOME." Which leads to "NO, LET GO OF ME" as we are taking him off the step stool he has moved under the snack cabinet.

*When he has pooped and needs to be changed, I ask him if he pooped...he says "I NO POOP MOM, NO NEED DIAPER CHANGE." You probably know what that leads to...I usually have to chase him and pick him up to change him and he proceeds to say "NO, LET GO OF ME!"

*Rowen often gets things reversed. When he wants me to hold him he says "I HOLD YOU, MOM, I HOLD YOU" or when he wants to help me with something he says "I HELP ME, MOM." He is such a cutie.

*A few other things he says almost every night are: "Mom, I go swing", "Mom, I go outside with Facie", "No Dad, that's my Mom", "No, No, Facie, my fries", "Mom, where the titty go...the titties gone mom, where's she at?" (meaning the Mya, the kitty) He also gets very disappointed when Papa or Uncle Travis leave. He will tell pout and come to me the next day and say "Papa don, Mom" or "Trabis, don, Mom". When I tell him that they went back to Kansas he brings me my phone and says, "Call Trabis!" It's pretty cute.

Rowen's New Bed

Rowen seems to think that Mya's bed is his new bed. He curls up in it like a cat and says "meow." And when I tell him that Mya's bed not his bed, he proceeds to tell me "No, Mom, it's MY BED!" Maybe I should let him sleep in it so I don't have to sleep with his foot in my ribs!

Yukon Czech Fest Parade

We took Rowen and Grandma to the parade on Saturday. It was a zoo on main street but we had managed to find a parking place at the front of the parade. Rowen caught lots of candy, pet a few dogs, waved to the fireman and football players, and danced with the tumblers. Ransom tried to teach him to whistle and flirt with the cheerleaders but he wasn't interested...they didn't have candy so they were pretty low on his list. He will probably have rotten teeth by Thanksgiving!

Playing in Papa's Whirpool Bathtub

Rowen loved the big bath tub so much that I told him he could take a bath at Papa's the next time we visited him. So last week when we went over for pizza I took his soap and pj's and let him take a bath. The bubbles were so high, they came up to his chin when he sat down. He absolutely loved it! He loves the BIG backyard too. I have a feeling we will be at Papa's alot.

Wrestling with Papa

Rowen loves to wrestle with his Papa. They have so much fun together! We went over to his new house last week for pizza and Papa asked Rowen if he wanted to spent the night and he got under the covers in the guest bedroom and said YEAH! I told Mark to be careful what he wished for...Rowen is a handful! But, I know they would have a great time together!
