In the Hospital...Strep Throat & Croup
Rowen was admitted into the hospital at 11:00 this morning. He was up all night with a fever, hoarse voice, cough, and he was breathing as if he were congested. I took him to see Dr. Aston first thing this morning and she gave him a breathing treatment and swabbed his mouth. He has strep throat and croup. She requested that he be admitted into the hospital for more breathing treatments and IV antibiotics. His cough is horrible...it sounds like a seal barking. His fever finally broke at 4:00 today and he finally peed at 6:00 pm. He has had 4 breathing treatments and lots of antibiotics. They are keeping him over night but should let him go home in the morning with a nebulizer. Thank you for all your calls and texts. He is doing really well...just needed a little help to breathe easier.
