VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE BABY NAME

No, I am not PREGNANT silly...

As most of you know, Ransom and I would love to have another baby in the future. It isn't in our plans this year but maybe next year. We thought it would be fun to take a poll to see which baby names are YOUR favorites. We named Rowen after Ransom. In case you didn't know, Richey is Ransom's middle name and his mother's maiden name. So the next one will be named after me somehow. We have decided on the first name, Jenner, but are trying to decide on the middle name. As of right now, we have these ideas:

  1. Jenner Taris (Girl) Ransom made up the middle name "Taris" because I didn't like Jenner Tara or Jenner Danielle which is my middle name. I think it's really unique...what do you think?
  2. Jenner Jude (Boy or Girl) Jude would be after my beautiful mother, Judith aka Judy. This is my pick...what do you think?
  3. Jenner Lubomir (Boy) Lubomir Ludvik was my grandfather's name. He was Czech. It means "love & peace". So what do you think?
Vote for your favorite today!

Poor Rowen

Rowen was sick 2 days last week. Daycare called me around 12:00 and said he was falling asleep in his highchair at lunch and was ready to take a nap but he felt feverish. Ms. Rita gave him a dose of Tylenol for his fever and laid him down for his nap. He woke up a few hours later and appeared to be feeling well but by 5:00 or so he started going down hill. When I got there at 5:25 or so he was really warm and just laid his head on my shoulder. He didn't feel good at all. I got him home in his jammer's and took his temp. He had a 102 fever! He laid in bed all evening resting. All I could get him to eat was a few grapes. He didn't go to daycare the next morning because of his fever the night before and mostly laid around that day. He wouldn't eat much and acted like he didn't feel well for most of the day. He played a little but always came back to me after about 15 minutes wanting "momma." That night he tossed and turned as if he had a tummy ache and cuddled next to me several times. He stayed home that next day so we could see Dr. Aston. Luckily he had a doctor's appointment for his 2 year checkup already scheduled for 3:00 so I called and asked if I could move it up since he was sick.

We went to the doctor and she looked him over. She noticed his throat was pretty red so they did a Strep test but it was negative. She said in babies/toddlers if their spleen is a bit enlarged it usually means they have a virus and his was enlarged. She said we were lucky that is was just a mild virus. There are alot of nasty viruses and different strains of flu going around that are alot worse. He cried alot while we were there which is really unlike him. He loves going there and looking out the windows at the cars and trucks below. (The entire building is glass and over looks NW Expressway) He got a shot and went home to cuddle.

Although he didn't feel very good I still thought he was cute laying in bed resting that first evening. He watched CARS, then Monster's Inc. and finally Finding Nemo when he got home from daycare. He layed in bed with his sippy cup, car, and monkey who we named George after Curious George. So those are the pics...poor little guy!

Little FAITH

Meet the newest member of our family FAITH!! Ransom's best friend and my good friend Kristie had their baby almost 2 months ago. Her name is Faith and she is soooo precious!! We love her soooo much. Rowen loves to touch her feet and rub her legs. When I am holding her he always points to her and grunts. I ask him if he wants to see little Faith and he says ya and I bend down to show her off. He touches her little feet and smiles...sometimes rubs her leg. It is so cute! He is going to be a wonderful big brother one day! Even Ransom loves to hold her and talk to her...she is so tiny...he looks like a giant holding her. She weighed less than 5 pounds when she was born so she is still very little. She is just PERFECT!!

JEEP Ride

Last weekend we went to Rowen's friend Kohen's birthday party. Kohen had a jeep and Rowen just loved it. He also had a big blow up play center with a slide and bounce area. He didn't care too much for it but loved the JEEP! I think we might have to get him one this summer to ride around the yard and around the block. He loves his 4 wheeler he has but he still has issues keeping the thumb button pressed so he doesn't go very far and then finally gets off discouraged. Kohen's mom leslie said that her son had the same problem with the Spiderman 4 wheeler they have like Rowen's so they got him the Jeep. It has a foot petal...Rowen had no problem with that! He rode that Jeep the whole time we were there and didn't want to leave! He was so upset when we left.

CARS

Rowen LOVES the movie CARS! He used watch Finding Nemo everyday but moved onto CARS a few months ago. Last night, around 10:30 pm we were watching the movie and he got out of bed and I asked were he was going. He told me to "SIT" and pointed at me. He went into the livingroom and dug thru his toy basket and got Lightning McQueen, Mater, and The Hudson Hornet. He brought them into bed and fell asleep shortly after. Ransom had just gotten out of the shower and crawled into bed when he noticed it...he said "So we're sleeping with CARS tonight, huh?" Rowen loves those cars. I got him Mater one day at walmart and he got the others from Dixie...he takes them everywhere! He takes them to daycare, bed, outside, to the park, to friend's houses, and so on. If he can't find all three he comes to me with the others and asks me "Where it go...don't know, where it go?" It is sooo cute! We were at walmart Friday evening getting groceries and we were by the toy aisle. He doesn't usually pay too much attention to that area but saw some CARS stuff at the end of one aisle. He said "Momma CARS...CARS Momma!" So we stopped. He was in heaven. We would point at one and say "That one!" I'd get it for him to look at and then he'd point to another one and say "That one!" This continued for about 10 minutes. He didn't want to give them up. I promised him I would let him get one with his birthday money next time. So, we will be heading there later in the week to get milk and starwberries, so he will get to pick another one out.
